Maintenance Techician, Facilities at US Foods, Inc. summary: As a Maintenance Technician in Facilities, I am responsible for performing industrial maintenance duties, including plumbing, electrical work, and equipment repairs to ensure the building operates safely and efficiently. I conduct preventative maintenance, document repairs, and maintain tools and safety compliance while collaborating with warehouse staff and external vendors. My role requires mechanical knowledge, the ability to follow plans, and physical capability to handle various maintenance tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for Industrial Maintenance of Building. - Performs Building / Industrial maintenance duties (i.e., basic plumbing, refrigeration systems, electrical; running of wire/data cables, repair dock doors/plates; basic welding, basic carpentry, painting, storage rack repairs, drywall) Review any equipment reports submitted by warehouse associates, record actions/repairs taken, and maintains a repair log per USF policy. Perform PM's (Preventative Maintenance) on equipment, and maintain PM log with proper documentation, per USF policy. Comply with all USF and government guidelines regarding safety when working on equipment (i.e. Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding and required documentation, safe work environment, etc.) Responsible for company tools and maintenance equipment used in performance of job duties, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area. RELATIONSHIPS Internal: Warehouse personnel and supervisory staff, Operations support, Maintenance and Sanitation personnel External: Outside vendors QUALIFICATIONS Related Experience: A minimum of six months previous Building Maintenance experience required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of Building Maintenance, electrical knowledge, basic plumbing, welding and carpentry; able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); able to work with little direct supervision Preferred (not needed): equipment repair and operation; able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment Physical Requirements: JOB REQUIRES WORKER TO: 1. 9. Twisting Occasionally Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $26.00 and $28.00.
