Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. - -A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 5:30PM or 7:00AM - 3:30PM, with on-call requirements. - - - -A caregiver who excels in this role will: -

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. -
• Perform scrub and circulating functions. -
• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use. -Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing -
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) -
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) -
  • One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic's Perioperative Residency Program -
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire -Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -

      • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
      • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
      • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
      • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds periodically.Personal Protective Equipment:
