TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Psych RN in Akron, Ohio, 44304 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Psych Job Specialty: Psychiatric Nursing Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS, CPI (from Crisis Prevention Institute) Must-Have: - Epic experience within the past year - Willingness to float within the scope of practice - Ability to draw blood and manage IVs Job Description: - Work on a specialized unit primarily focused on geriatric psychiatric care. - The unit consists of 16 private rooms, catering mostly to patients over 60 years old with conditions such as dementia, depression, or those who may be suicidal. - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1 to 6/7, which may vary depending on patient census. - Conduct interviews as part of the hiring process. - Submit requests for time off with application; only 7 days maximum will be accepted. - Block schedule requests will not be considered. - Formal education from an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
