Tool and Die Technician

Pittsburgh, PA area

$17-24 per hour

Direct-Hire / Permanent Position

Adecco direct hire group is assisting a client in thePittsburgh,PAarea in filling the permanent position of Tool and Die Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling new Dies and components to prepare them for the Stamping department. This is a detailed position that requires previous experience or formal education in Tool and Die processes. Our client offers excellent compensation and benefits for this position as well as a standard 50 hour work week.

As a Tool and Die Technician, your responsibilities will include:

*Operating drill press and surface grinders as well as belt sanders, polishers and band saws

*Perform Die service and repair work

*Work with the engineering department to offer advice on product improvement

*Visually inspect stamped parts for defects using the naked eye and/or a microscope

Qualifications:

*HS Diploma or equivalent. Technical training preferred

*3+ years of experience working in a Tool and Die environment

*Press Operator experience strongly preferred

Shift times for this position are open to either daylight or evening shift depending on applicant preference. This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 50 hours per week. Benefits are available the first of the month after starting.
